I'd like to hear what you think of me taking pictures of homeless people sleeping. There are good moral arguments for both sides.
HDR processing was used for this shot.
UPDATE: *boogaloo-design has made a stencil of the photo and there is a really cool twist to it! Go take a look now [link]
This is a great shot, well composed. I like how it shows that other people rather look in the other direction. Well done.
As for the ethical question whether or not it is appropriate to shoot sleeping homeless people, I don't see why there should be any issue with it if you think about it as photo journalism.
That's a good point, perhaps I should try and keep it as natural as possible. But then you could argue I shouldn't edit it at all, and the camera sensor is only ever an interpretation of real life...oops, to far from the point! Here is the non-hdr version I would have uploaded: [link]
I love the texture and skin tone you get with the HDR though, and the grime, that's why I chose it.
Well the main reason I'm asking the question is because I got an earful from some passers by whilst shooting #2. Thanks for the feedback, I'll still do it in the future.
Thanks man, I wasn't expecting the 10-20mm to be a good lens for this type of thing but it certainly has helped exaggerate this scene. And the HDR was a experiment which held a nice surprise.

but i don't like the HDR processing ... it's too unreal for a very realistic portrait shot...
